Think in English: Stop Translating, Start Feeling

Welcome back to Bileo English.
I am so glad you are here today.
Today we are talking about something very important.
It is about thinking in English.
Not just speaking, but actually thinking.
Many learners translate everything in their head.
They think in Korean first, then translate to English.
That is very common, and that is okay.
But today, we are going to change that habit together.
So what does it mean to think in English?
It means your brain works directly in English.
No Korean words in the middle.
When you see a coffee cup, you just think: "I need coffee."
No translation. Just a direct English thought.
That is thinking in English.
It sounds simple, but it takes real practice.
And today, we will learn how to get there.
Let's try it together.
I'll say a sentence and you repeat after me.
I need more time.
Now you repeat.
I feel really good today.
Now you repeat.
This is easier than I thought.
Now you repeat.
Very good.
That's it. That's thinking in English.
Now let's look at five tips to start thinking in English.
Tip number one: label everything around you.
Look around the room right now.
Everything has an English name.
The chair, the door, the window, the table.
When you look at something, say its English name in your head.
Do this all day, every day.
It sounds very simple, but it is incredibly powerful.
Your brain is training to connect objects directly with English.
Not through Korean. Directly in English.
That is the first step.
Tip number two: use an English inner voice.
We all have a voice inside our head.
That voice is usually in our native language.
But you can change it, little by little.
Start by narrating simple actions in English.
When waking up, think: "Good morning. Time to start."
When you make breakfast, think: "I am making eggs."
When you feel tired, think: "I need to rest."
Short sentences are fine. Simple thoughts are enough.
That is how your inner voice slowly becomes English.
